Helene Murphy

FRANKLIN Helene (Harrigan) Murphy 88 of Franklin formerly of Miami Shores Florida died June 16 in the Maples Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Larry Murphy who died in 2003 and the late Lt. Raymond Hickey U.S. Army Air Corps who was killed in action in Europe during World War II. Born in Lowell Mass, January 21, 1921 the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Helen L. (Murphy) Harrigan, Mrs. Murphy was raised in Lowell and had lived in Miami for most of her life until moving to Franklin four years ago. Mrs. Murphy had been a bank teller for the Miami National Bank for many years. She is survived by her brother Francis P. Harrigan of Franklin. She was the sister of the late Joseph Harrigan U.S. Army Air Corps who was killed in action during World War II in Europe. She is also survived by two nieces and two nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Her funeral service and burial will be in Florida.
