KATHERINE LESCHAK
AGE: 82 BROOKLYN, NY
Katherine Leschak, 82, of Brooklyn, NY, who has family in Monmouth and Mercer Counties, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Staten Island University Hospital. Mrs. Leschak was born in Kremna, Czechoslovakia, and was a life-long resident of Brooklyn, NY. She was lovingly known as "Baba." Mrs. Leschak was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Brooklyn, NY. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Leschak was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1988. She is survived by her son, John Leschak, and his wife, Karen, of Howell, NJ; a daughter, Jeane Leschak-Felitto and her husband, Joseph, of Princeton, NJ; two grandsons, John Leschak, Jr. and Peter Leschak; and a brother, Pete Slampak of Bridgewater, NJ.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Twp. on Monday, September 7, 2009, from 1-3 and 6-8 PM. Friends and relatives may gather on Tuesday at 8:00 AM at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by her 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Katherine's name may be made to the charity of your choice.
