Robert Lee Pingley, 68 OCEANSIDE -- Robert Lee Pingley passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Hospital, Clarksburg, W.V. He was born June 8, 1942 in Philippi, W.V., the son of the late Cameron and Bertha Fox Pingley. He was united in marriage in 1964 to Margaret Ann Fumerola who survives. Also surviving are four children, Debbie and husband Kevin Kelly of Oceanside, Calif., Robert and wife Julie Pingley of Hemet, Calif., Tammie and husband Bill Miyagawa of Encinitas, Calif., and Jenni Pingley of Oceanside, Calif. Surviving are twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; half- sister, Carla Branch of Alexandria,Va.; two step- brothers, Willard and Nelson Thomason; four step-sisters, Wanda Wilson, Doris Hodges, Ruth Groff, Norma Haddix; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Florence Pingley; six step-brothers, Bill, Tink, John, Jerry, Jim, and Robert Thomason; a step-sister Linda Finlaw; and a sister, Mary Reed. Robert was a graduate of Philippi High School Class of 1960, he served 14 years in the US Marines, and he retired as district manager after 25 years with the North County Times. He was a member of the North Coast Church of Vista, Calif., and attended End Time Ministry of Buckhannon. Friends will be received from 2-4p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Saturday September 11, 2010 at the Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel, Buckhannon, W.V. 26201 (304-472-2311) where services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday September 12, 2010, with Pastor Keith Francis officiating.
