Betty Robeen Obituary

Betty Jean Robeen, 66 LA JOLLA BAND OF LUISENO INDIANS- - Betty Jean Robeen passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. She was born December 3, 1943 in San Francisco, the daughter of Dr. Henry Nicholas Rodriguez and June Bonds (both have passed on). Betty Jean retired after 34 years as an EFNEP Program Representative with the Cooperative Extension Program for University of California. Betty Jean is survived by her sons, Victor Vernaci and Michael Vernaci; her daughters, Kimberly Lopez and Karlene Clifford; sons- in-law, Pete Lopez and Mark Clifford; daughter- in-law, Minnie Borrell; grandson and granddaughter, Danny and Addie Vernaci; granddaughter, Rose Armstrong and grandson, Brian Armstrong; great-grandson, Carson Armstrong; uncle, Joe Bonds and aunt, Dorothy Bonds; sisters, Donna Uchimura and Patricia Rodriguez; brothers, Robert (Palooka) Rodriguez, Richard Rodriquez (Pogo), and Tommy Chavez; sisters- in-law, Ann Rodriguez, Carolyn Rodriguez, Sandy Chavez, Mary Vernaci and Sylvia Vernaci; brothers-in-law, Arthur Uchimura, Charles Powvall, Nick Vernaci and Joseph Vernaci; lots of family and friends. Mass and Burial September 15, 2010 at 10 a.m., Lady of Refuge La Jolla Indian Reservation. Burial at Potrero. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Lady of Refuge, (restoration project) and the La Jolla Indian Volunteer Fire Dept.
