Carol Mueller Obituary

Carol Sue Mueller VISTA -- Carol Sue Mueller died Friday, October 1, 2010 in her home surrounded by family after battling cancer for many years. Carol was born in St. Louis Missouri, March 25, 1933 to Harry and Margaret Caspari. Carol graduated from Ritenour High School in St. Louis where she met her sweetheart, Robert Lee Mueller. Robert and Carol were married in Garden Grove, Calif., on May 13, 1952. They enjoyed a marriage of 49 years until Bob passed away from cancer on July 17, 2001. Carol was a successful business owner dealing in antiques and collectibles for more than 20 years. She loved anything Disney related and spent many days spoiling her five grandchildren at Disneyland. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, cooking, playing bingo and slot machines. Carol is survived by her son, Kirk and his wife Cheryl; their four children, Krystal, Matthew, Nathan and Neil; her daughter, Elizabeth and her partner Diane, and their daughter Jodi; and her two great- granddaughters, Ava and Emily. In 1996, Carol was diagnosed with colon cancer. She won that battle and was cancer free for 13 years. In 2008, the cancer returned, so she fought this cancer like never before. She endured countless trips to the hospital, never giving in to the cancer. Carol continued to fight even when life was taken from her on October 1, 2010. A memorial will be held on Thursday, October 7, at 11 a.m. at North Coast Church, 2405 N. Santa Fe Ave.,Vista, Calif. What a fun lady she was! She always had a smile ready for us here at the Vista Elks Lodge. A great card player, she loved to join in with us. Carol was also very serious about volunteering to help at her Lodge!

Carol and I grew up together; our fathers were brothers, and I have so many good memories. We have always been like sisters, and our children grew up together during their younger years, and still consider her their Aunt Carol, and Bob was their Uncle Bob. Their children and grandchildren still call us Aunt Babs and Uncle Bill. I love her and will miss her so much, but am glad she's no longer suffering; she put up quite a fight, and she was never a quitter!! I have so many great memories, and they will be with me always!!
