Bruce Jackson, 71 03/20/1939 ~ 10/11/2010 OCEANSIDE -- The "King" has passed, Bruce Jackson. He was born in Seattle, Wash., on March 20, 1939 to Elvina and Hugh Jackson. He is survived by his son, Larry Jackson; daughters, Julie Jackson- Merritt and Mikki Rotter; step-daughter, Juli Garon; their spouses, eleven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter; his brother, Mike; and sisters, Dee and Bern. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Tina Jackson; his parents, and two brothers. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. With only a 9th grade education, he became a very successful entrepreneur in the printing business. After retiring, he could not sit still, so he ventured into opportunities in restaurant, lounge and grill, and movie production businesses. He also supported many other business prospects with his friends. His love and passions were for family, friends, fishing, gambling, golf, and cribbage. That made him the man we all love. He will be remembered as a loving proud father, generous friend, and a hard-working, hard playing man. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, at John's Neighborhood Bar and Grill, 1280 E. Vista Way, Vista, Calif. (760)724-7242.
