Rod Waufle

Rod Waufle, 82 OCEANSIDE -- Rod Waufle passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010, in Oceanside, Calif. He was born in 1928, in Ft. Plain, N.Y. Rod was in the Marine Corps, 1st division China Marines. He was a one of the founders of the Boys and Girls Club and was a member of the Vista Elks Lodge Noon optimist Deputy Sheriff's Association Faith Lutheran Church. His favorite pastimes were fishing, sports, camping, and reading. Rod was a quiet, kind, gentle, tell it like it is person who loved his family. He had a good sense of humor and was honest with a strong work ethic that imparted to his children. He was married October 23, 1982 to Victoria (nee Littlefield) at Cave Rock Nev., at waters edge of Lake Tahoe. He is survived by sons, Jeff Waufle (Cathy), Anthony Brown, Jason R. Waufle; grandsons, Ryan Waufle (Jennifer), AJ Wesolowski, Chris Waufle; great grand children, Kalah & Nolan Ryan; father-in-law, Chuck Littlefield; brother-in-law, Casey Littlefield. He was preceded in death by daughter Cristi Wesolowski (nee Waufle). A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 700 E. Bobier, Vista.
