Grace, my niece, was born on my 21st birthday. Being home from college for the summer, I had the privilege of caring for her during her first days of life while Dorothy recovered from giving birth. I knew Grace well as a young child who was playful and loving to her little sister and who thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her Grandma and Grandpa Hill. Distance, however, separated us over the years, as Grace moved with her family to California and I to Alaska. Nevertheless, she was often in my thoughts and she will always remain in my heart. I loved you, Grace. I only hope you know how much. And I hope that Grandma and Grandpa were waiting for you in heaven. Much love, Aunt Alice

It was very hard for me to learn the news of my aunt passing away so unexpectedly, especially since I am on the other side of the world and could not be there for my family. Grace was a wonderful aunt to me. She was kind, funny, loving, and caring. We both shared a passion for reading, especially the Harry Potter collection. You are in a better place now Grace, but know that there are many hearts down here missing you very, very much. You are greatly loved!

I know Grace as my best friend Laura's big sister, growing up I'm glad she put up with us bratty girls, and I am sad she is gone, but grateful for the memories. RIP Grace, and may your family smile when they remember you. Janese Simunek

I will always remember Grace as my brother Rick's wife, sweetheart and best friend. She supported him through really difficult life trials, for these things I am eternally grateful. I am also grateful for her gift of Michelle, who is a brilliant light of my life. Her sons are a sweet part of my book of life also. Grace and I shared a love of books, which we swapped. I know she lives forever in the faces of her children and the hearts and minds of those who love her.
