Martina Minor Obituary

Martina Crosthwaite Minor, 94 OCEANSIDE -- Martina Crosthwaite Minor died peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at her home in Lake Morena Village, Calif. Martina was a descendant of Philip Crosthwaite, a pioneer sheriff of San Diego County, who also fought in the Battle of San Pasqual. Born in Baja, California on October 1, 1916, she came to Oceanside in 1918 with her family. She attended Oceanside schools, graduating from Oceanside - Carlsbad High School in 1934. She lived in North County over 45 years before moving to Lake Morena in 1973. Martina is survived by her son, Edward Crosthwaite Minor; nine grandchildren, Jean Brown, Karen Salzl, Michael Minor, Federico Minor, Maria Minor, Concha Reyes, Martina Minor, Ilse Minor, and Frank Minor; 11 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by seven siblings; her husband, Frank Minor; a son, Edwin; granddaughter, Luz; and a great-great- granddaughter, Amanda. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com
