Arnold Bowman Obituary

Arnold Rudolph Bowman, 81 CHIHUAHUA VALLEY -- Arnold "Bubba" Bowman passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010. He was born August 21, 1929 in Duluth, Minn., son of Conrad Arvid Bowman and Mildred O'Neil. Arnold attended Duluth High School and Palomar Community College, receiving an Associate of Arts degree. He was a U.S. Naval officer, a Mustang, serving in numerous wars and conflicts. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, and Fleet Reserve Assoc. Arnold was the Food Service Director for the Poway Unified School District, and Chief of Security for Northern Telecom. Arnold was a rancher, dog lover, loved television, bingo, and raised horses. He was a giant among men, strong and loyal with a great sense of humor. Arnold is survived by his eight children, 25 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary in Poway. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com
