Elaine Waldorf Obituary

Elaine M. Waldorf, 89 ENCINITAS -- On Saturday, November 13, 2010, Elaine passed away in her sleep. She was the first daughter of James and Hazel Morrison. Born in October of 1921 in Winnipeg, Canada, the Morrison family moved to Los Angeles in 1927. After graduating from Washington H.S. in 1939, she went to work for Security Bank. In 1941, Elaine married Wesley Waldorf. They had two children, Jim and Cheryl. After retiring in 1984, Elaine and Wes moved from Rolling Hills Estates to Encinitas. She was active with the Welcome Wagon and several bridge groups. Elaine also like to travel including New Zealand, England and Russia. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl and husband, John Fletcher; son, Jim and wife, Sally; two grandchildren, Holly Fletcher and Chad Waldorf; her sister, Audrey and brother-in-law, Jack Pederson; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, November 21st, at Green Hills Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com
