Anthony Caserta Obituary

Anthony Joseph Caserta, 90 OCEANSIDE -- Anthony Joseph Caserta died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. at Valle Vista Convalescent Hospital in Escondido, Calif. He is survived by his sister, Theresa Burdic; and his daughters, Sandra Haynie and Jessie Rankin; as well as four grandchildren, four great -grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. Tony retired from the US Navy after 23 years having served during World War II and the Korean conflict. He later worked as a probation officer in Orange County, Calif. He had been an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m.,on Saturday, December 18, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1450 S. Melrose Drive, Oceanside, Calif. 92056, followed by a reception at the same location. Burial will take place at 2:30pm that same day at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, Calif. 92054. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com

Our regrets for not being there with you all. Uncle Tony was the best. He gave of himself. Our hearts go out in prayer at this time for all of the family. We are heavy-hearted for we lost our last Uncle on the Caserta side of the family. May he hold hands with Aunt Kate and daughter Mary forever.
