Keith E. Day

Keith E. Day VISTA -- Keith E. Day, a resident of Vista, died peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 5, 2010. He was born on August 22, 1925 to the late Raymond and Bethel Day in Compton, Calif. Keith proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Air Force. He flew 36 missions during a two year period as a gunner on a B-17. Keith worked for 50 years in the Banking industry, with Local Loan in San Diego, Security Pacific Bank and retiring with Bank of America. Keith was a member of the Escondido Kiwanis Club, serving as President for one year. Keith is survived by his wife, Sylvia; son, Steve Day (Margie); daughter, Susan Dirks (Ralph); granddaughter, Emily Day; stepdaughters, Patricia Renaldo (Angelo), and Barbara Dages (Jim); stepson, William Bright (Monica); sisters, Phyllis Williams, Beverly Fox, and Florence Day; and brother, Richard Day (Marilyn). Keith greatly enjoyed his twelve grandchildren. The family would like to express our gratitude to Village Square Nursing Facility in San Marcos, and to Vitas Hospice.
