Nancy George Obituary

Nancy Lee (Miller) George ESCONDIDO -- After ten years of fighting with Alzheimer's, Nancy George went to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 2, 2010. Nancy lived in California most of her life and had three lovely daughters, Terri Wedeking and Linda George, both of Escondido, and Lisa Hollman of Carson City, Nev., and one son, Michael Scott (passed). Nancy was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 23, 1936, and spent most of her working life in the medical field. She loved to paint and cook and was excellent at both, but reading was her passion. Nancy is survived by a much loving family and group of friends, husband of 57 years, Reg; daughters, Terri, Linda, and Lisa; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The George family would like to thank Vista Knoll Specialized Care, 2000 Westwood Rd., Vista, Calif. 92083, and Vitas Hospice Care, 9655 Granite Ridge, Suite 300, San Diego, Calif. 92123, for the wonderful care they provided for Nancy. There will be no services at this time per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations to the above organizations would be appreciated. Nancy was a very special person and will be dearly missed by all who crossed paths with her. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com

Dear Reggie, I have loved your whole family ever since I met Nancy with Gracie at the uniform store about 38 years ago. I feel so deeply moved to read of Nancy's passing. Reggie, I want you to know how much I miss Gracie and how much I loved her. Nancy was the sweetest person and I know how you loved her and cared for her. God Bless all of you.

Dear Reg:
BIll and I will remember all the good times we had riding dune buggies with you and Nancy in the desert. We loved all the dances we had at the Elks Lodge. We will always remember the super trip we took unexpectedly from San Diego to San Francisco on a plane just for dinner. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls.
Love

There are no words to say to a family who has lost such a treasure. Nancy's smile was infectious! If you weren't in a good mood, you would be after being around her. I remember growing up and thinking as I saw the two of you together, "I want to be just like them when I grow up. I want to find someone to love and to love me like the two of you loved each other." That love is rare and not everyone finds it. The two of you were so Blessed to have found your soul mates. Teri, Linda and Lisa, I know that some day I too will face this and I pray that it will be only the great memories that will be remembered. God Bless you all.
All our love

Reg, Terri, Linda and Lisa.
I didn't know Nancy personally, however, looking at her picture, she was a very beautifl lady, and I have heard many wonderful things about her. I feel that God has welcomed her sweet spirit, and she is at rest. May God bless all of her family and ease your pain, at your loss.
