After I read her autobiography a few years ago, I completely fell in love with Evelyn Keyes. I've always enjoyed her presence in films but after reading about her life and learning what she was like, I felt a connection with her. She was a lovely person. Every chance I get to see a film of hers on television I grab it. She was beautiful and talented and it is a joy to see her in her early 40's and 50's films, especially. She had a certain charisma of personality before the term became common. I certainly will miss her.

Gone with the wind took place in a special town in Georgia. I have watched her movies so many times. She will be missed from her place in time when there were real actors. May the God of peace and comfort, comfort you all today and forever. Psalms 83:18

Music, when soft voices die
Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.
Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the belovèd's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

My mother took me to see Gone With the Wind around 1954, I was 10. She had seen the 1939 film and wanted me to see a real classic movie. That's the 1st time I saw Ms Keyes.
