I cannot believe it has been 14 years since you left us to be in Heaven. You touched so many lives. I wish you could of met Hannah. She would of loved auntie Bert. I always tell her Auntie Bert stories. Love you

I still miss her friendship and I hope it she welcomed her mother when her mother passed within the same year of hers. I miss them both very much.

I hope you gave Annie a warm welcome. It's not fair that all our family and friends like you best and want to come see you instead of staying here with us.

We got the headstone ordered last week. I have the proof and it is really pretty, with flowers and hummingbirds.
I hope Alfie and Ebba are good company for you.

Hi Bert,
Well we survived the first round of holidays without you. I can't believe you've been gone for over 6 months now. We still think of you many times every day and miss you almost more than we did at first.
We hope to get your headstone ordered soon so your friends can find you more easily.
Love,
Tote

Happy Thanksgiving, Bert. I guess everyday is Thanksgiving in heaven with Jesus. Your mom and Vicki and Chyvonne came for dinner and it was a really nice day, but we missed you. So hard to comprehend you are gone. The holidays won't be easy, but we take solace knowing that for you they are. You are happy and at peace. But we, the left behind, love you and miss you so...Oh how we all wish you were still here with us....Love you and miss you always, Mary

Oh,my dear sister; I can't believe I'll never be able to just look at you and have you laugh because you know what I am thinking. Our family has a huge empty space that may,in time, heal but will never be filled. I am so sad that my sweet daughter has lost her favorite person in the world, her champion, her buyer of most awesome presents, her wonderful Sissy. I will do my best to take care of Mom. I will miss you forever,
Tote

Bert,

There are no words. I still can't believe that I'll never again walk into Hospitality and see your smiling face. I'm so glad we had a chance to talk at CCC, even though I didn't get to spend nearly enough time with you.

I hope you know how much you meant to me; to all of us.

Bert,

Some Minnesota cousins had a picnic last night . We shared stories of our visits to WA and your visits to MN. We cheered you with Special Export, had a purple flower arrangement and pictures of you to share. You were loved and will really be missed in Minnesota and our future visits to Seattle.

Always cheerful and always cheering others with your presence; I will always associate the warmth and coziness of Anglicon hospitalities with you. You were a delight to work with on C-Cubed last year and I miss your smiling face. I know I will be very surprised NOT to see you at con for a very long time. I miss you so much.

Bert, in my mind you were true goddess of Hospitality. You made the simplest things taste good and made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Above all else, your friendliness, compassion and always ready smile will be missed the most.
