Lisa Deutsch Obituary

DEUTSCH--Lisa B. We mourn the passing on January 7, 2009, of Lisa B. Deutsch, Litigation Counsel at Dewey & LeBoeuf. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia Law School, Lisa was a summer associate at the firm's predecessor in the summer of 1995 and returned as a full-time associate in 1997 after a federal court clerkship. Lisa was known for her tremendous work ethic, her good humor and her dedication. She worked tirelessly for her clients, including pro bono clients like Olympic hopeful Oscar Pistorius, for whom she recently achieved great success. She was always ready with a smile and a remark that would make others around her smile as well. She was integral to the fabric of our institution, and we will miss her greatly. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lisa's parents, Ronald and Eleanor Deutsch, and her fiance Matthew Cohen. Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP

I was so saddened to hear of your passing. This world has so few people as special as you - it will be a darker place without your smile. I will miss you.
