John Volpe Obituary

VOLPE--John Louis, October 10, 2007. Born October 7, 1960, in Bronx, NY, the youngest son of John and Lucy Volpe, John was a longtime resident of Pleasantville, NY. Graduating from Pleasantville High School in 1978, he went on to graduate from Pace University. He later received a degree in Naturopathic Medicine, and had a practice in Ossining, NY. John studied Okinawan Goju Ryu, and was preparing to receive his brown belt, one level below black belt. He is survived by his brothers, Michael and Joseph, both of Manhattan. His extended family includes his many loving friends who shared his varied interests, including music, bowling, running and the NY Mets. An informal memorial gathering is planned for Saturday, October 27, 1:30 pm at Rockwood Park in Sleepy Hollow, NY The family has asked that donations be made in memory of John to either the ALS Association or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
