Dear Walter, David, Danny and Matthew,

I heard the sad news from Annie Pforzheimer today.

Your wife and mother was the utter glue of our community. As children, we often joked that anything we did wrong she would report in "The Inquirer."

Her kindness to me when I left Scarsdale for prep school will never be forgotten.

Sincere sympathy for your great loss.

Judy will be missed by many. She gave a lot to individuals and to the world. I was a Vassar classmate, class of 1957. Blessings on you who survive her.

Judy and Walter were the first couple I met when I moved to Scarsdale in 1965- such bright and interesting people- a privilege to know. With love and deepest sympathy to her family from Eunice Laughlin and family

What a terrible shock to hear the very sad news! Life is short they say, and this is proof that this is true. Judy will be missed by all of us who knew, admired and loved her.

Judy and I were roommates at college and friends for more than 50 years. What a shock to read the news of her death! I'll remember her always for her intelligence, good humor, and resilience. My condolences to her family, especially to Walter, and to the rest of her wide circle of friends.
