I only met Peter a few months ago, but I felt I got to know him over weekly squash games often followed by lunch at the University Club. He had a real spark; he clearly sucked the marrow out of life and loved his family dearly. Last time I saw him -- just a couple of weeks before we passed on -- we agreed that he shouldn't start to feel old until after Peter Jr. retired. He lives on in the hearts of others.

I was so very sad to learn of Peter’s passing. I knew Peter for about 20 years from our association at the University Club. For several years in the 1990s, he and I played squash about twice a week. Although nearly two decades older than I, he was a formidable competitor and many times bested me. We also had a mutual affinity for backgammon, and, again, Peter was a terrific competitor. He was a very fine person, and a gentleman in every way. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I am so very sorry to hear of Peter, Sr's death. Peter was always kind and funny. I could never return his killer squash shots, but at least I beat him once or twice at Backgammon. He was one of a kind and will truely be missed.
