Ada FOSTER Obituary
Ada Thomas Foster, 84, of Madison Heights passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Foster.
Born March 11, 1924, in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late James and Connie Johnson Thomas. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie D. Thomas, Roy L. Thomas, W. Joe Thomas and James Dudley Thomas Jr., and two sisters, Mae T. Campbell and Ina T. Hollifield. She was a member of Randolph Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society since 2005.
Survivors include a son, John Edward Foster and wife, Patricia, of Castle Rock, Colo.; her daughter, Sandra F. Wenrick and husband, Terry, of Box Elder, S.D.; brother, Peyton R. Thomas and wife, Ann, of Madison Heights; sisters, Irene T. Campbell of West Virginia, and Louise T. Talley of Madison Heights; five grandchildren, James McCarthy, Joshua and Kaitlyn Foster, and Matthew and Daniel Wenrick; great-grandson, James Patrick McCarthy; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Randolph Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Derik Hamby. Interment will take place in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Randolph Memorial Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence of Louise Talley.

My heart is with our family. It is truly a sad time. Even though I am not with you physically, I am holding you in my heart. Mom was a humble, christian, straight-forward lady. She is now with Jesus.
