Lizzie JONES Obituary
Lizzie "Shorty" Jones, 85, of Hunter Road, Brookneal, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Ms. Jones was born in Campbell County, Jan. 8, 1923, daughter of the late David William Jones and Dolly Jones Jones. She was a member of Childrey Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
She is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Francis and husband, Woodie, of Nathalie and Bessie Jones of Brookneal, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Jones Sr., and one sister, Maude Jones.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, in Childrey Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Stanfield.
The family will receive friends after the service.
Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal, is in charge of arrangements.
