Faulconer and his wife, Gayna, of Summerville, S.C., and H. Leonard Faulconer III and his wife, Teresa, of Cary, N.C. He is survived by three granddaughters, Sherry F. Ramsey and her husband, Scott, Windy S. Faulconer and Adrienne Prelewicz; two grandsons, Michael S. Prelewicz and Zachary MacNeil Coffey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, in Fort Hill Memorial Park, with Dr. Maurice T. McCarthy Jr. of Beulah Baptist Church officiating.

The family will receive friends and family from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the residence.

The family wishes to express its eternal gratitude to Lynchburg General Hospital, in particular Dr. William Cheatwood and the North Building nursing and volunteer staff for their compassion and exceptional dedication to duty.
