Laura Erna Bremer Carter

Laura Erna Bremer Carter, 75, of Forest, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008. She was the wife of the late Crayton Franklin Carter.

Laura was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Bremen, Germany, the daughter of the late Otto Bremer and Elisabeth Bremer. She retired as an insurance adjuster and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Oakland Raiders fan. Laura loved her many pets, especially dogs.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Carter of Forest; her daughter, Lori Elizabeth Cleghorn and her husband, Tracy, of Indian Trail, N.C.; a sister, Lilo Snyder and her husband, Jimmy, of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Ian Cleghorn, Jake, Krista, Nathan and Donovan Carter.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial donations to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, 386 Park Ave. S., 17th Floor, New York, NY 10016.
