Eva REYNOLDS Obituary

Eva Moore Reynolds

Eva Moore Reynolds, 78, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Loxley Lee Reynolds for almost 60 years.

Born Oct. 29, 1929, in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Earnest Moore Sr. and the late Annie Layne Moore. She was a retired cashier with Super Fast Grocery and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her daughter, Betty R. Phillips of Lynchburg; her son, Dennis L. Reynolds and his wife, Rebecca, of Forest; one brother, Richard W. Moore of Brookneal; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, in Virginia Memorial Park by the Rev. Bob Merkle and the Rev. Pat Simon.

There will not be a scheduled visitation at the funeral home.
