I worked with Jerry almost 25 years ago at UPS. He was a great guy. Even though I haven't seen him or spoke to him in over 20 years I can't help but think about him every day . It was Jerry that introduced me to my husband "schmidty". Thanks Jerry, you were right we were perfect for each other.
God bless you and your family.

Joy is the way you react to certain things. An attitude that creates joy is one in which you interpret what happens to you through the filter of joy. Your attitude and outlook act like a filter. When you have a positive, optimistic outlook, it filters out the negative and denser experiences, my daddy had a bubbly sense of humor, full of life full of laughs, full of joy . He walked in a room, he brought life into it with his laugh that still echos through time, a laugh that shall linger and never be forgotten...His joy and humor was contagious he can make a sad person be happy in moments . I miss you daddy but I'm happy you no longer suffer or feel pain. I know you still laugh and have joy , for you are in a place of purity now , smiling down and shining on us all like an angel. I love you

I will never forget the first time I met Jerry nearly 15 years ago. As we walked in the house he looked at me and said "Oh come on! You can do better than this guy!" And then he let out his distinct Jerry laugh. All of my memories of Jerry include laughter, I'm honored to have known him and will always remember him fondly.

God saw you were getting tired,
a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
and whispered, "come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away.
Although we love you dearly,
we could not make you stay.

So when we saw you sleeping
so peacefully from pain,
we could not wish you back
to suffer that way again.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands went to rest,
God took you to prove to us
he only takes the best.

In life we miss you dearly,
in death we love you still,
in our hearts you hold a special
place, no one else will ever fill.

Love,

O GOD, Whose property it is ever to have mercy and to spare, we beseech Thee on behalf of the soul of Thy servant whom Thou hast called out of this world; look upon him with pity and let him be conducted by the Holy Angels to paradise, his true country. Grant that he who believed in Thee and hoped in Thee mav not be left to suffer the pains of the... fire, but may be admitted to eternal joys. Through Jesus Christ, Thy Son our Lord, Who with Thee and the Holy Ghost liveth and reigneth world without end. Amen.

You Will Be Missed.
With Our Love & Blessings,

Doug & Tommy

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of a very special man. Gerard will be missed by all that knew him and felt his love. I have never known a person before him that had so much life inside of him. Anytime that he entered a room the lights shone brighter because of his laughter and humor. I remember when he taught me about how to arrange a flower pot to make it look so full and beautiful for the entire season. That has stayed with me for the last 15 years or so and I think of him every time that I plant my flower arrangements. I know that he has found his peace after all his suffering and is resting with the angels that we so lovingly call our family members. May God be with your family as you endure the pain of the loss of a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law and grandpa. Peace to you all!!
