Thank you Uncle Johnny for being a part of my life. You always had a unique way of bringing laughter to the family gatherings. As a child, the pool parties were particularly fun, you never went swimming, but somehow always managed to get soaked as if you did. Growing up in the extended “Plonski” family carries a wealth of wonderful memories.

Uncle Johnny was my favorite (great) uncle since I was a small child. To me, he’ll always be my Polish Robert De Niro dancing to Polka music. ;-) I still have Babcie’s framed newspaper clipping of the "local boy" who landed at Normandy. “It is love, not reason, that is stronger than death.”

Uncle (Hoople) John,
As my generation witnesses the passing of yours, we can only hope that we bring as much comfort, love, and guidance to our children as you, your brother (my dad) and your sisters have brought to us. May you rest in peace with those who have gone before you. You will be missed.
