Sorry to hear of Dr. Burke's passing. Enjoyed Organic and Analytic Chemistry with Dr, Burke in 1960s.

Dear Mrs. Burke and your family:

Please accept my deepest sympathy on Dr. Burke's passing. He could only be described as a dear mentor, teacher and kind person. I had the good fortune to have had him as a Professor at St. Francis and worked for him as a student assistant. He shaped my career by instilling goals, a thirst for knowledge and a sense of humour into the drudgery that Chemistry may become. He will be greatly missed and mourned by all those whose lives he touched.
Again, deepest sympathies and may our Lord give him peace, rest and a new laugh every day.
