Hollis and his wife Melissa and Patricia and her husband Brian Terry. Beloved grandfather of ten. Dear brother of George and Robert and the late Dr. William Hollis. Retired Col. United State Army Reserve. Operated his dental practice in Merrick for 45 Years. Visiting at N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Ave. Merrick Tuesday July 29th from 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church 720 North Merrick Avenue Wednesday July 30th at 9:45am. Interment Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. Dr. Hollis was the best dentist a kid could have. I'll never forget the way he would sing along with the music in his office, and how he'd tell us to watch for the fish that would swim in his sink! Children are usually afraid to go to the dentist, but we never were.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.
