Josephine DiFede Obituary

DiFEDE - Josephine, (nee Mangiapane) 86, of Wilmington, NC. Formerly of Islip Terrace, NY. Beloved wife of the late Joseph DiFede. Loving Mother of Joy (Jim) Weybrecht. Dearest grandmother of Joseph Weybrecht, Audrey (Jason) McDonald, Carrie Noble and great-grandmother of Athena Noble. She was called home to be with our Lord on August 7, 2008 in Wilmington, NC. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 8, 1922. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Yacavone of Nanuet, NY. She was preceded in death by her brother Caesar Mangiapane and sister Lena Loggia. She leaves behind many fond nieces, nephews and dear friends. Reposing at Stephen R. Schawaroch Funeral Home, 58-34 Catalpa Ave., Ridgewood, NY. Visitation will be Monday August 11 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Mass will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 58-15 Catalpa Ave. on Tuesday at 10:15am. Interment will be at Saint Raymond Cemetery, Laffayette Ave., Bronx, NY.
