Charles Schottler Obituary

SCHOTTLER - Charles F., 87, of Shelton, CT, formerly of Seaford, NY. He died peacefully on Sunday August 10, 2008. He was born in Brooklyn, NY son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Quadt) Schottler on November 17, 1920. Charles retired from Levi Stauss and Co's Home Office in Richardson, TX in March 1989 and was a World War II veteran in the US Army Air Force. Beloved husband for 61 years to Margaret. He is survived by his children, Peggy Slattery, Stephen and his wife Robin, Jeanne Leen and her husband Michael, Lorraine Webb and her husband Edwin, and Charles and his wife Nancy. Loving grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of five. Fond brother to Catherine and the late Frank. Brother-in-law of Mary and Mary Hope. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Reposing at William E. Law Funeral Home, 1 Jerusalem Avenue, Massapequa NY. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10:45am at Maria Regina RC Church, Seaford, NY. Family will receive friends Friday 2-5 and 7-9:30pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Connecticut Hospice, 2 Trap Falls, Suite 408, Shelton, CT, 06484 or Lustgarden Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714.
