TAKATS - Marie, formerly of Wantagh, LI, entered into God's care with her family by her side in West Islip, LI on August 15, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Takats. Devoted mother of Scott and his wife Kathleen Takats. Cherished grandmother of Jessica and James. Dear sister of Rose Szucs, Elaine Greco and the late Dorothy Nardi, Anthony Nardi and Joseph Nardi. Loving sister-in-law of Marie and Anne Nardi and Michael Szucs. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile West of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Tuesday 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, West Islip, LI. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, LI. Visiting Sunday 3-7:00pm and Monday 2-4:00 and 7-9:00pm.

Dear Mr. Takats and Family - I was deeply saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. I met your Mom at the Baldwin District Office when I was hired to fill her position as she retired. She was a sweet, patient lady and had a wonderful smile. She always spoke very fondly of her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She will be missed. My sincere condolences to all.
