Margaret Delgrosso Obituary

DELGROSSO - Margaret, nee Gilmore, died on August 16th, 2008 after a short illness. A long time resident of Hewlett, Margaret grew up in Woodside, NY and summered in Rockaway. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 35 years, Thomas DelGrosso. They had recently retired to spend more time at their other homes in Florida and at "High Hopes" in upstate NY. Margaret is survived additionally by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gilmore; her brother, Robert (sister-in-law Kathy); her sisters, Bethanne Roth (brother-in-law Frank) and Christine Gammel (brother-inlaw William); her sons, Thomas Jr., Robert, and Timothy; her daughters-in-law, Kolleen and Tara; her grandchildren, Caelan, Gavin, and Katheryn Olive; and her numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed by her family and her legions of friends. Marg will be waked Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm, at Macken Mortuary Island Park Chapel, 3930 Long Beach Rd. Funeral Mass, Wednesday 10am, St. Joseph's Church, Broadway, Hewlett, NY. Interment, St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.

I am so sad to learn of the death of my cousin Margaret.
One of my childhood memories of Margaret, and the Gilmore Clan, is of a court party at Bette Court at the beach. What happy times.
