Dear Dad,
It is not fair we had to say goodbye.
But we understand God’s reason why.
Your gentle, caring and special ways
Will always be remembered each & every day.
We will never be far apart
You are forever in our hearts.
Dad, One last thing you need to know
You are more than special
We will miss you so.
We love you!
Love,
Your Family

My father was one of a kind! He was truly one of the greatest people I have ever known and definitely one of the bravest! He loved his family with all his heart and we miss him more than anyone could ever imagine! He took so much pride in being our dad and was a great grandpa to all of his grandchildren. We know he is at peace now but we still miss him more than words can say! Love you forever dad!!!

Today marks the one month anniversary of my dad's death and I miss him tremendously, as do all of his family members and friends. In my entire life, I have never met a person as unique as my dad: loving, caring, loyal, suave, persuasive, striking, naturally talented in so many areas, and unforgettable. He had a way of doing things with grace and ease (and win the admiration of onlookers who were intrigued). He is also, by far, the toughest and bravest person I have ever laid eyes on and I admire the way he fought his battle with lung cancer as best he could. Although the days leading to his death were horrible, it was as if he conveyed to us that everything would be all right-- and it was. He passed away peacefully, on his terms, and in a pain-free way. He leaves behind countless fans who will never forget him and who will always love him. Semper Fi Dad!!!

I will always regret not getting to play golf with Pat at Bethpage. We talked about it after our last reunion but I never had the opportunity to do it when I was back home. We had a lot of fun in high school and I will always remember my Irish friend!

in Peace and we know that you are
with the Lord. May your family be
comforted by knowing that you
touched many lives and you will be

Once again I feel a deep loss of part of my childhood. As we move into another phase of our lives, in looking back, I always regard those years shared with Pat and others that we have lost along the way as the most memorable and impressionable and feel collectively bonded to all members of the BHS class of 1963. I too will remember Pat as a young man with a zest for living and a big heart. Pat, I hope you're playing ball now with Billy. Save a spot for us on the team. God Bless

Pat and the Bethpage golf course could always be spoken in the same breath when we were growing up...and he was the only person I ever knew who could drop kick a field goal...we'll miss you.....

Wowwwwwwww another Bethpage High School Class of 1963 member gone. Looking back on our old grade school photos, it looks like Pat and I did a lot of time together in the Bethpage School District. Pat was "hell when he was well." I recall when I had a chance to visit Bethpage when I was in the Air Force, Pat put me up at his home rather than in a motel. He was the best. If there is an afterlife, you can bet Pat and Billy Nugent are tossing a football to each other and reminiscing over old times. If anyone has a photo of Pat, send it to me and I will be glad to post it. The only ones I have are with other people at the reunion and I don't have their permission. But you can see them on the bhs1963.com website There is also a space on bhs1963.com for Pat on the Dedication page - I put him next to Billy Nugent, his dear friend. Over the years I had talked to Pat several times on the phone. His voice will be forever recorded in my head as well as his laugh. I will miss him.

Tom: My deepest sympathy at the death of your brother. It doesn't seem that long ago I saw him cheering his children on at the soccer games at JFK. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Although younger and only knowing Pat from the local watering hole we shared a Marine Corps bond. I am saddened to hear of his passing and send my deepest condolences to his family. He has now joined an elite membership of those guarding heavens gates. Semper Fi Rich Carlson

Sempre Fi my freind. I have known Pat since first grade at the Broadway School (now Junior High) and am saddened to hear of his passing. My wife Rita and I remember Pat as a good freind and neighbor. The high school football games will not be the same without Pattie down along the side cheering the teams along. We will miss him.
