I spent some time with Laura, Gary and Patty before she was born. I never really got to know her as an adult, but from everything I hear she made the world a better place. She is missed.

August 03, 2010- 2nd anniversary. Missing you every day. "There are stars whose light only reaches earth long after they have fallen apart. There are people whose remembrance gives light in this world, long after they have passed away. This light shines in our darkest nights on the road we must follow." The Talmud. That light is the only thing that keeps us going. Love & Miss you- MOM & DAD

I left FIS in 2006 but before that I worked in the International Department with Laura, No words can express the sadness I feel for this tragic loss of her life. I remember the unscheduled breaks her and I took and how I never had to worry if I did something wrong because she would not critisize but she would tell me what I did wrong and how I could correct it. She was a wonderful person and the world is definetly going to feel this loss..

As a ex-employee of FIS, Laura and I shared some great conversations and she provided me with great advice as a parent. Even a walk around Brightside on Raquette Lake, with her comfort conversations I will never forget. Laura, may god keep your family especially your little one in his arms for eternity and give them strength to carry forward, and provide them guidance for their remaining time in your absence. You will be missed, and you are truly adored!

Laura will be missed by all. She has alot of friends on snowmobilefanatics.com and slednutz.com . I am only a couple hours away but yet we never seemed to find the time to meet up and ride. We always talked about NY stuff and complained about the same things hah. I know you would rather we remember the good times and not dwell about your departure. So, thats what I will be doing... To you Laura, Cheers in the air and god speed.

Laura a.k.a. RipnChick. I was extremely blessed to have been able to meet you thru our mutual sledding forums - SF and then Slednutz. We had some great times on there and I loved the times we had in the chat room with the guys! I am sure people wondered why we would be sitting at our work desks just laughing our heads off. You had a way of brightening my day. I always looked forward to seeing you on the site, sharing PM's, threads and just reading what wisdom and sarcasm you had to share with everyone. You had a very unique way with words!! LOL
I also want to add, I am sooo glad you and your family made it out to Colorado to go snowmobling with us in March. Chris and I had a great time with all of you, just wish it did not have to end so soon. I was really looking forward to all of you coming out for the "Walden Ride" in February so we could have taken you into the areas we love to ride - deep powder, hill climbing, boondocking - I know you would have loved it just as much as we do! We will think of you everytime we get on our snowmobiles to ride and we will get the memorial stone placed on top of American Lakes for you!
BJ and family - please know you are welcome to come out here any time and ride with us.
Laura - Even though I have only known you thru the forums for the last 1 1/2 and met you once, I felt you were like family - I will truly miss you and our conversations.

Laura was a very special person to everyone at FIS. Not only was she our co-worker, but she was also a great person and friend. I may have only been here for about 9 months, but I consider her a friend for sure. She was very contagious, whether it be with laughter or knowledge. It is very quiet now that we can't hear her laughing, but she will be laughing in our hearts for the rest of our lives! We miss you Laura and wish you were here with us!!

Laura was my boss at FIS so I worked closely with her everyday and miss her everyday. I miss the smell of burnt popcorn and immediately knew who the culprit was or the lyrics she would bust out of no where just because. I can honestly say she was one of a kind and I will always cherish the short time that I was honered to spend with her. Bye Laura I will miss you.

Laura made me smile everyday. She was always singing and creating laughter. I worked with her and our offices were two doors from each other. I miss feeling the energy she brought to work. Happy or sad on the inside (we would never know)because she always made a choice to show us that she was choosing happiness. I think of her everyday, I miss her everyday and I try to be just a little bit more like her everyday.

Laura is deeply missed by so many. I would like to share a short story that I feel tells what kind of person she was. I had known Laura for 4or 5 years before I started working at FIS. But only as a passing friend hello, how are you, that kind of thing. When I first began working at FIS I found out she was going to be traveling to Russia, I asked Laura if she happen to come by or remember to pick up a Ukrainian egg for me because I'm of Ukrainian decent, and would love to have one from Russia. When she returned sure enough she brought me the egg. I couldn't believe while half way around the world, busy with work and all the excitement of being in Russia she would think of me. I have the egg proudly displayed in my cubical as a daily reminder of Laura.
Miss you Laura
