Edward Thomas Hume

Edward Hume Obituary

HUME - Edward Thomas, 74, a native of Long Island, NY and resident of Honolulu, HI, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Asheville. He was the son of the late Charles Edward and Emma Seeman Hume. Edward was loved by all, especially for his sense of humor. He enjoyed his last years soaking up the Hawaiian sun and wearing aloha shirts. Edward is survived by two sons, Charlie and David Hume and a sister, Betty Lou Hochuli. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor John Qualmann officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The Buncombe County Memorial Veterans Council will provide military rites in honor of Edward's service in the US Air Force. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to a charity of one's choice. A memorial register is available at www.grocefuneralhome.com.
