Terry, Danny, and Diane and your families, I write this note with a very heavy heart. For the years that we all lived in N. Shirley, we shared many moments with all of you. Howie was a part of our lives as were you all and his loss is heartfelt. As families who lived across the street from each other, we shared many fun times and activities with our children. We also shared some intense moments, like dodging hurricanes and cleaning up after them. Our lives inter-twined not only because of our children but because of the respect and pure enjoyment of the relationships that we shared. Howie worked hard and loved to enjoy the outdoors and his gift to us was that enjoyment. He also truly loved Dee and Danny so very much. There is no doubt in my mind about that. Although I hadn't talked to Howie in over a decade, he was a part of my life that I will never forget. See you again darlin'.

My husband and I were friends of Howie's from the mid 60's, where we met coaching girls basketball, through to the mid 80's when we relocated to Florida and lost touch. We have some wonderful, fun memories of Howie, playing polka, and selling Tuperware to name a few. We have thought of him often through the years, in hopes that he was well and happy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, his family and friends. Until we meet again, rest in peace Howie. Sincerely, Danny and Linda.
