The memories you left behind are shared and continue to be a part of our daily lives. You had a big heart, even temper and acceptance of whatever life brought your way. Carrie is very much her father's daughter sharing your outgoing love of others. You would be very proud. We miss you so much and we always will. I am so very thankful for all the Hoey's and their spouses who also keep your spirit alive.

Easter is more important than ever for the hope that your death has brought you a new life in Christ's home with God. Today we acknowledge that Jesus gave us life over death. I know you have a best friend in Jesus as was always the case. I struggle to understand why you had to go on to that new life without me, so suddenly and so early. I love you in death as in life although my heart will always be broken and I suffer without you. I miss you so much. Happy Easter, Jim Bob. We will never forget the happy man you were and the love of life you showed to all. Carrie truly is the embodiment of your philosophy perpetuating the happiness and positive way you always saw the world. You do live on through her.

I am truly saddened by the news of Jim's passing. I worked with him at RGIS Inventory Specialists. I found him to be a great team-member and an all around great person.
Though it may be difficult now, but rest assured that each day will be less sorrowful and his memory will endure for years to come.

I was saddened t hear of Jim's passing. I grew up with him and he was one of my childhood playmates. We spent many years playing baseball in his Aunt's yard and trick or treating on Halloween.
May he rest in the hands of the lord for all of the good work he did in life deserves nothing less.
Rest in peace my childhood buddy.

Dear Kathy & Carrie:
Words can't describe the heaviness of heart that Judy, Stevie, Laura, and I have at hearing of the loss of Jim; I can't get over the disbelief and shock at first hearing. We'd like to do so much during this difficult time to help, but know that what is needed the most, we cannot give.
Jesus gives us comforting words when He said in John 14 "1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
We rest in the blessed assurance of knowing that Jim is in eternal glory, at peace, with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and we rest in the assurance of knowing that one day, we too will join Jim in God's Kingdom.
Through the struggles our families have faced and the many prayers over the years, you have become dear to my family and loved by us all; for that I will forever be greatful, to you, to Carrie, and especially to Jim.
May you hold fast and find comfort in the peace of Jesus; the peace that passes all understanding.
In His service,
-Jim & Judy

My heart is heavy upon hearing of Jim’s passing. He and I worked together over the years in the ECE field. I always found himto be a staunch advocate for children and for professional development of employees in the field. I personally benefited from his enthusiasm and encouragement as I pursued career credentials. He was a joy to be around and had wit and humor that would make the most trying days easier. May God’s grace be with you all and may you find comfort in knowing that Jim is now in the loving arms of the Father.

Kathy & Carrie & Family:
I am so very, very sad for you in your loss. I have been there myself, and my heart goes out to you. May it be some type of consolation to you, that you had the best of the best for the times that you had with him. Some go through life without ever having a good husband and/or a good dad - but you did have the best for as long as he was with you. All of my sympathy, love and prayers.

Dear Kathy and Carrie,
It's 12:09 a.m. and I find myself here due to my profound disbelief of the loss of Jim. I know you both know how much he meant to me,my family, all those who were blessed by knowing him. I was out today alone clearing my head and remembering,as I drove I saw a sea gull in the sky up high but not too high going the same direction as me. I knew it was him or his spirit. I watched as it flew for a few blocks and then slowly turned to the North. I felt a peace as if he were saying, go home to your family I going home to my family with God. I'll never forget those few moments and the happiness I knew being Jim's friend.
All my love and prayers,
Jo Rieley Mentz
