Richard Guevrekian Obituary
GUEVREKIAN - Richard J. It is with tremendous sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Richard J. Guevrekian, 52, who died in Jeffersonville, NY on August 25, 2008. He is survived by his only child Samantha Guevrekian, mother Irma Guevrekian, and sister Nadine Tingir. Richard's love of life and passion for math led him to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. He was an inspiration and mentor to countless students. Richard's intense love for nature brought him to upstate New York. He was a savvy Eagle Scout and Boy Scout troop leader. Happy Trails Dad. Just read about Rich in the Alumni Crier. We didn't hang with the same crowd in high school but we had a lot of classes together, and I always remember him laughing and polite. He had a booming laugh. My condolences to his family.

My old friend.I was extremely saddened to hear of your passing.I remember the days of Cub Scouts,and Little League, and you eating my mom's chocolate chip cookies.I hope you lived life to the fullest and were happy.You passed way too soon.

Mr. G was one of the few teachers in the world to leave a positive, lasting impact on a student. As a student at Livingston Manor Central School, and as someone who had the pleasure of meeting Mr. G, I will greatly miss him.

Rich was somebody who after first meeting him would leave a lasting impression...He was dedicated to his teaching of mathmatics and seemed to get the message across to the students...he will be remembered and missed by those who came in contact with him....

I only had the pleasure of knowing Rich for a short time. He was a man of great character and had a mission to teach the youth of Livingston Manor the ideals of Scouting. Rich will be greatly missed by the Scouting community and beyond.
