My good friend Joan T. Hannafey was a great person. She raised 9 children and had a deep faith in our Catholic Church. She is missed very much.

When God said "Come Home" Joan, many hearts were broken.
But how happy Al, Arthur, Dennis, Eugene and Kevin were. A Family celebration was going on in Heaven. Everyone here will miss you, Joan. You touched so many. Its time for you to get the rewards from God for carrying the crosses He gave you. You lived your Faith. You were the perfect example of that Faith. It will be hard in the beginning for Robert, Joan, Maureen, Tommy and Doreen. But they are your children and they will look forward someday to being with you again. We will never forget you. With Love from the Platias, Winkelmanns, Himmelsteins and Hastings

I worked in the assessment department with Joan. She was such a great lady and a diligent worker. I sat only seats away from her for years. I remember her always bringing in little cherry tomatoes for us. She loved her family and adored her grandkids so much. She will be sorely missed by everyone here.

To the Hannafey Family;
My Family's deepest sympathy goes out to all of you at this time of sadness. I always remembered your Mom as a kindhearted person who very much loved her family and who always made us feel welcome in her home. I cherish the friendships I had with Eugene, Arthur and all of the rest of you. I pray that you may find the Lord's peace in this difficult time. Take care.

I worked with Joan for the past 10 years. She was a wondeful person. I always stopped by her desk to say hello each morning she worked. Joan would tease me about the Yankees and I always teased her about the Mets. She always asked how my father was. I am going to miss her so much. I guess now the Mets have a guardian angel in heaven. Good-Bye Joan.
