James Hektner Obituary
HEKTNER - James P., 81 of Lloyd Harbor on September 2, 2008. He is predeceased in death by his first wife Bonnie Jean Laing in 1980 and second wife Jean Reichel in 2008. He is survived by four daughters, Susan Hektner Terlep, Julie Ann Ames, Jean Marie Vallianos, and Emily Hektner Decker; two step daughters, Dena DeSena and Patty Wendel, one stepson, John Reichel and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, George and Bill Hektner and one sister, Lois Riff. Family and friends may visit from 2:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm on Friday September 12th at the A.L. Jacobsen Funeral Home at 1380 New York Ave., Huntington Station, NY. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 13th at Old First Presbyterian Church located at 125 Main Street, Huntington, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oglala Lakota College of the Lakota Nation, at http://www.olc.edu/

So surprized to see Jim's obituary in the Bismarck Tribune. We are so sorry for his family coming so close after Jean's. May the Lord bless and keep you all, especially the daughters. We remember one of you escorting us all around N. Y. city. Even the then Twin Towers. Thank you.
