I met Dick at a golf outing. He was down to earth, very amusing and likable. God rest his soul. It was my honor.

At age 15 in 1961 I attended an exhibition game at Yale Bowl. The NY Giants v. the Baltimore Colts! A big crowd! After the game my father and I were lucky enough to be standing outside the bowl next to the roped exit portal path when the all the Giants' team members came jogging out of the portal in full uniform-- I guess on their war to a bus. Dick Lynch, unbidden, stopped right in front of me and asked me if I enjoyed the game. No other player stopped to talk to a fan. Very CLASSY. All best wished to the family. Fred Fagal

Dear Myrna, Kevin and Dennis,
I am so sorry to learn of your brother's death. I hope your memories have been able to help you through these past few years. Dick was a big part of my family's football life. I think my mother idolized him from the time we lived across the street (Marcy St.) from you. We even had Giant's season's tickets! I came across this while looking to reconnect with Myrna. Hugs to you all.

Dick was a man who loved sports. He was admired by many. As we continue to reflect on his life may the thoughts found at Revelation 21:3,4 bring comfort and peace to us all.

Hello Mrs. Lynch, Johnny and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Dick's passing. In the short time I got to know Dick, he made a lasting and valuable impression on how to treat people and carry yourself with class and a great sense of humor. You all have been in my thoughts, dreams and prayers for quite some time. It would be great to get back in touch with John...he was my closest friend for much of college and always feel badly that I don't know how to get back in contact. My email is [email protected]. Please pass this along to John to let him know i'd love to hear from him.
Much love and respect,
John Kouris

To the Lynch family. Growing up in NY and listening to Mr. Lynch on a crisp fall Sunday was heaven. Since 1963 when you only had radio on Sunday home games his voice and insight put you in the stands. From Glickman to Pappa ,I was tuned in. I will miss him so. He was GIANTS Football. Bless you and your family ,HE will be MISSED.

The end of an era. Mr. Lynch brought a smile to everyone with his sincerity and warmth. I grew up with him, from his touchdown against Notre Dame to his days with the Giants family.
He will be missed.

To the Lynch family:
I am expressing my condolences on the loss of a great man, a great athlete and a great American. I have fond memories of Dick as a young boy.My late Uncle had two extra tickets for
N.Y. Giant home games against the Cardinals and Cowboys in 1963. Fortunately, I was the nephew who
received the tickets. Nevertheless, I
witnessed the outstanding performances of Dick and I envisioned myself returning interceptions just like Dick.
My uncle met an untimely death in 1964, but he certainly inculcated a love of football that was passed down the line to me and his two sons. Dick reinforced this love.
By the way, the same group of priests and brothers who run Notre Dame; i.e., Congregation of the Holy Cross, also run Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York. I am a graduate of Holy Cross High School(Class of 1972). Since I have had personal experiences with The Congregation of Holy Cross, I know that they pray and will continue to pray for Dick.
Thanks for the wonderful memories, Dick. Rest in peace.

My Condolences to the Lynch family. I enjoyed many wonderful times playing golf with Dick at Douglaston CC. I loved the way he carried both righty and lefty clubs. I will miss the great story's he told. Wish I could attend service, but unable to travel. You are all in my Heart and my Prayers.........

Stories of Dick Lynch peppered my childhood as my dad recounted their happy days on the football team together at Notre Dame. He will always be a figure larger than life to me. Dick will be remembered this weekend out at Notre Dame as his team mates and friends gather to share their memories and toast a great guy who made everyone laugh. Mr. Lynch, until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand. Go Irish!
With sincere condolences to his wife and family,

To the Lynch Family, Condolances on losing such a great man. Dick was one of a kind, and everyone that met him was touched by his kind soul. I worked with Dick 20 years ago, while my late mother was sick and in and out of the hospital. Dick would always ask how she was doing and when he learned she was in the hospital he would send her six dozen roses to lift her spirits. Dick never met my mother, but his caring and kindness made her feel very special. I was blessed to have known Dick, and we will all miss him. God is lucky to have such a wonderful soul in his midst. Hey Babe!

The "True Blue" defensive back, a treat to listen to during broadcasts and a gentleman. Only met Dick once at a golf event probably 15 years ago at Echo Lake CC in NJ. Even though he was indeed a celeb to all of us Giant fans, he was down to earth and friendly-one of the guys. I can still remember his stopping to watch me put on 18 and afterwards that little smile of his that said 'OK,not bad!'
