I have many fond memories of Mrs. Ahearn - while hanging out with Patty at Lafayette Place and in gym classes at St. Boniface. Squat thrusts (not my favorite!), roller skating in the gym, field day... She will be missed. My heart goes out to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Ahern is one of the few people that I would feel safe leaving my son in her care. That is because she was such a trustworthy person and always full of fun-loving energy. I send by best wishes to her family at this difficult time. She left excellent memories with many people and will be remembered fondly.

Although too many years to count since I've last seen her, I know from experience that she impacted the lives of many of the ones that she taught at St. Boniface in Sea Cliff all those years she was there. This includes my own. She will definitly be missed, and my sincerest condolences are extended to the entire family. Aloha.

Dear Kristen and all the extended Ahearn's, I was so very sorry to hear of mom's passing. She was such a wonderful lady, an example of mothering I knew someday I would like to follow. I will always remember her welcoming smile and kind heart. I hope that all of the joy and memories you have shared will carry you through this terrible time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. and Mrs. Ahearn always treated me just like an Ahearn or a Fitzmaurice whenever I was on the island. That meant you were loved and expected to have fun, just as long as they knew where the fun was at. It also meant you must rise and attend mass on Sunday which I didn't think Mrs. Ahearn realized was after Saturday night. Only then did I wish I was a Giordano again. Mom will be missed but together as a family you will celebrate her life.

I regret that I had not known Kathleen sooner....as an individual and friend. The short time that we had together is memorable. We worked together feverishly on the condo "patio project" with nearly daily contact via e-mail or phone. I will always remember her for her tenacity and good will for the common good of others. I regret that we did not have the opportunity for many more years to enjoy together and more memories to share. She will be sorely missed. May her soul rest in peace. With love, Susan Lobacz
