Kenneth Collins Obituary

COLLINS - Kenneth Charles, 78; of Islip, NY died on October 16, 2008. Raised in Brooklyn, he received his Electrical Engineering degree from Brooklyn Polytechnic University, worked for many years at Airborne Instrument, went on to found Northern Instruments in Bay Shore, and was co-owner of I.T.S. Instrument Corp in Islip for the last thirty five years. Ken is survived by his beloved wife Elfrieda (Fritzie), sons Scott and Eric, daughter Susan, daughter-in-law Kathleen and granddaughter Sarah. Visiting Saturday 2-5 and 7-9pm, at the Overton Funeral Home, Inc, 172 Main Street Islip, NY. Funeral service, Saturday 8pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Islip.

Ken was a true gentleman and will be missed and remembered always. They don't make them like him anymore and the world is a sadder place since he has gone. My sincere sympathy extended to his family.
