McALLISTER - Evelyn, of Bethpage, L.I., on October 18, 2008. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Mary McAllister. Loving sister of Theresa (Tom) Curran, Margaret (John) Taylor and the late Lawrence McAllister. Cherished aunt of six nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road (1 mile North of Southern State Parkway, Exit 29). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, Wednesday 10:15am, St. Jarnes R.C. Church, Seaford, L.I. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY. Visiting Monday and Tuesday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm.

I am sadden to learn of Evelyn's passing. She was my assistant director of nursing at NUMC. Have many fond memories of her as a compassionate leader, nurse and patient advocate. I know the Lord welcomed her with opened arms for a job "well done".
