HESLIN - John F., 82, of Smithtown on October 19, 2008. A member of the Smithtown Historical Society and an avid photographer. Retired member of the Board of Trustees of St. Anthony's H.S. Retired principal at JFK & Burr Junior High Schools in Commack. Beloved husband of Alicia. Cherished father of Christine (Robert) McGuigan, Virginia, David (Karen), and Marian (John) Bellas. Loving bother of Anne, Daniel, the late Robert, the late James, and the late Joseph. Devoted grandfather of Marc, Karen, Paul, Allison, Dean, Jennifer, Luke, and Kathleen. Friends may call at the Hawkins & Davis Funeral Home, 17 Manor Rd., Smithtown today, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Religious service Wednesday 3pm. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 9:45am at St. Patricks R.C. Church. Interment St. Patricks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Patricks School, Smithtown, N.Y. would be appreciated.

John joins my Dad, Tom Johnston, in heaven. I remember how Mr. Heslin was spoken about with respect and admiration by my Dad in the Commack years. Rest in peace - and may your family be healed by wonderful memories.
