Seamus K. McGarry - 1948//-// 10/23/08
Have you seen me, living in the shadows
of our yesterdays?
Have you watched me love and be loved
in your absence?
Does it hurt you or make you happy
to see me live,
So much in love with my bright tomorrows
and blue yesterdays?
You were a part of that indigo song,
Sung with passion and frost
Sung with abandon, wreckless against
cost,
We blended in the furious oven of
life,
Should against won't, fearless in
everything but love,
You sank like a stone, as I floated
like a rose petal
In the turbulent sea
of my life.
I reached for you, but only your
lips parted
Like the deepest mouth of my being
I kissed your promise
And reaching for it all
I left
holding nothing.
Death for you began
that day
And your hope slowly
shriveled
Like your body
Wracked with cancer
But still longing for life
Fought till the very last
Catching breath, holding fast…
Till it was time for you to go.

Oh, Seamus!!!I am so late to weep for you. But still I do. We were something, weren't we? Wish things could have been different. I'll always remember the love. You are in my heart forever......Carol

Seamus (Kevin); You were a great roomate sharing with me the first apartment I had in 1968 in Long Beach, NY. We had great times together. You were always a great person. I remember you talking to me about software and hardware in 1968. You were ahead of your times. Enjoy the surfing in heaven. I miss you and hope to see you when I pass. Howard Pearlman

Hey Seamus. I'm sure your happy now. You can finally join a guy you loved very much... Teddy Prosos. You guys were pretty close. Don't forget to look him up. They say the good die young. We all had a lot of good times back in Point Lookout about 35 years ago. I remember when you came back from visiting the Guru Maharashi in India. Man that dysentery had you down. I remember working with you in landscaping and you commented how the music was always going in my head. It still is buddy. If you can view the internet up there.... check out my site. www.ROLANDonPIANO.com. I actually did a search for you. Looks like I was a little late. I'll tell a few of our friends the news. How many of us still remember calling you Kevin for all those years. You were a good man. You'll be in my prayers at Unity on Sunday. Love & Light, Robert Roland.

Seamus will always be a great guy that I had too short a time to get to know. Everytime we were together was very entertaining and he ALWAYS made me laugh. You will be missed, my Brother.

I had the honor of working with Seamus quite a few times over the years. He was a dedicated, hard worker, fun to be with, and kind and loving. Seamus' strength and dignity throughout his illnesses was an inspiration. I am thankful for the time I spent with him.
Fondly,

I got to work with Seamus dozens of times for so many years on events with our mutual friend Maharaji Prem Rawat and he was always so wonderfully helpful, full of good spirit and fun. He had the greatest sense of humor. He was loved and admired by so many - he'll be missed. I saw him just a couple months ago and he was physically uncomfortable sometimes but still happy and joking. God bless him - Condolences to his family.
