Jean and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish I could be there for you as you were there for me at my time of sorrow and grief. I can assure you that God will help you through the rough days ahead and that you will now have an angel with you at all times. I know you will think about Dick often, Bill is in my thoughts many times every day. I am praying for you. May perpetual light shine upon Dick.
Fondly, Caryle

Dick's entire life revolved around his family. He glistened when he spoke of his wife and son. He was so excited when he became a grandfather. Dick was forever helping others. He never ended a sentence without asking "what can I do for you?" That was Dick. Always helping others.

Dick Winter will be missed. I was honored to be among his friends. His kindest & personal humility were second to none. He was and will remain in our thoughts and prayers forever, a true gentleman. A loving family man who deicated his life in service to his country as a member of the US Navy, the New York City Police Department and Nassau County. I will be forever gratefull for having known him.

Dear Jean and family:
May the Lord Bless you and comfort you in this time of loss. My wife and I are very sorry to hear that Richard's retirement years were cut so short. He spent many dedicated years in the NYPD and he was an encouragement to me by his example.
May it be a comfort to you that others care and think of you at this sad time with sympathy and prayer.
