MAGNAN - Nino (Bob), on October 25, 2008 of N. Massapequa, LI. Beloved Husband of Barbara Magnan. Loving father of Susan (Thomas) Schaffhauser, Ellen (Tom), Kenny (Ann). Debby (Fred) Schem, and Melissa (Larry). Cherished grandfather of six. Dear Brother of the late Gino and Louise Van Nest. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Son Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road, (1 Mile North of the Souther State Parkway, Exit 29). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, St. Kilian R.C. Church, Farmingdale, Wednesday, 9:45am. Interment, St. Charles Cemetery. Farmingdale, LI. Visiting Tuesday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm.

Uncle Bob,

I love you and miss you! I coming back to New York to celebrate your life. My memories of you, are, and always will be those of laughter, fun, and spontinaity. One of my best, is when we were driving down the road in your big "Caddy" with my mom and Leisa and as we drove past some inocent women in her bathrobe picking up her paper from the driveway, you decided to honk and franticly wave at her and you had the biggest smile on your face. She must have thought you were crazy but we laughed so much we cryed. Thank you! My memories of you will last forever, rest in peace.

Dad,
I'm so proud to say that I am your daughter. I could never have asked for a better Father or Friend. You always had my back & definitely knew how to make me laugh. Thank you for everything you have done for me & for just being you!! Not a day goes by where im not thinking about you or missing you!!! I will hold you in my heart forever!! Milo misses you too. I know you loved him even though you wouldn't let him give you kisses :-)

Chef Tom, Sorry for the loss you and your wife and son had to face. We did not know your father-in-law but could tell by the outpouring of family and friends that he had to be a special person. Knowing that he does not have to go through anymore pain will be a comfort to all that love him. If we can help out in anyway please let us know.

Melissa,
Your dad was like my dad. Such a funny great-spirited person. I will miss him so much. I'm so happy he got to see Joseph. It's just not going to be the same without him, but he is a better place. He isn't suffering anymore. Joe and I are here for you and your family.

Barbara, Melissa and family,
I dont even know where to begin. Nino and my dad were made from the same mold, they were two of a kind. Two wonderful, caring, genuine men who would give anybody anything they needed. Thursday night cake and coffee was your little tradition. Both Mom and Dad enjoyed that time with you more then you will ever know. Now they are having that cake together in heaven. Barbara, you and Nino were there for me through two of the hardest times in my life and I love you for that. And now I want to be here for you. My parents would have it no other way. Dear Grandpa,
Words can not explain how much you mean to me. I miss you so much and love you. I will always remeber the days of coming over and siting with you and grandma just talking how things were, what our days were like. Also when I painted my nails the bright blue and your reaction to how ugly it was even though I loved it.
