I came to know Mark Macken through Little League baseball and junior and senior high football. Mark was always a fierce competitor and yet a gentle guy who loved to laugh and seemed to know the key ingredient to life; to live each moment on the field and off to its fullest. His vitality and kindness were an inspiration to others and me and that is something I can never, ever forget; it will always remain a part of me. I will miss you, my friend. My love and condolences go to Pat and Terence.

Patty & Terence,
I was shocked and very saddened to read about this in yesterdays paper. Mark was one of the nicest, funniest guys I ever met. We had a lot of fun at the co-op. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by all that knew him and his great sense of humor and love of football, but most of all his love for his family.
